Muskegon Montessori Academy for Environmental Change prepares students to be academically and environmentally excellent for sustained success in a global economy.

At MMAEC we give students learning options. What better way to learn about water filtration than helping revitalize rivers? Learning may begin in the classroom, but our students move from desks to dirt, planting seeds in soil, and tending to our gardens to see what happens afterward. However, just like snowflakes, we know no two children are alike. We accompany multiple different learning styles by incorporating outdoor classroom learning, with the indoor classroom.

Here at Muskegon Montessori Academy for Environmental Change (MMAEC), the world is our guidebook. Science and nature guide children at MMAEC to experience learning. What makes us great is our belief that children thrive because we allow their learning to expand to endless possibilities becoming an individualized learning path for each student.

We are a Certified Green School!

That means we make efforts to recycle, be environmentally-conscious, and be energy-efficient in all that we do in our school. Our focus is on sustainability. We continuously look for ways to engage and educate our students on their individual actions as broader school community actions, which can then impact further out into our local community.

Our real masterpiece is the unleashing of human potential. While our main focus is on creating the conditions of success for children to achieve their dreams, we also focus on developing one another through meaningful relationships, challenging work, constructive feedback, sound professional training, and a true commitment to nurturing the career path of each team member.
